"It is said that the Phoenix of Fire, Earth, Water, and Wind were created by Aeon, better known as the Phoenix of Light, Life, Peace and Creation, to aid him in killing Mors, the Phoenix of Darkness, Death, Chaos and Destruction."
"Do you know why?"
"Long before the ill fated battle, Mors was tranquil once....he was working seamlessly with Aeon. Life and death, peace and chaos, all being combined into a mixture of morbid beauty. Until Aeon happened across our little planet, Earth. He fell in love with a mortal woman, she was a princess, seen knelt, hands clasped together, praying at his altar. She wished for her sick father, King Arthur to become better. Aeon listened to this prayer, he agreed to help her, but in return she must wed him, she said yes. Mors, hearing news of this grew jealous and enraged, he wanted Aeon to himself, so as his last attempt, he wanted to destroy everything Aeon created, to plunge this world into eternal darkness. But, for luck was on our side, he was stopped, slain by the five Phoenix's and banished into the black flames of the underworld....forever..."
"But yet again, as luck would have it, we need all six of them to save the Earth before we destroy ourselves...."
'"I cannot feel this way. You clearly don't feel-"
"I do though." He interrupts me. I finally look up to meet his eyes. It holds so much sadness. "Believe it or not but it hurts me every time I see tears in your eyes." His hands reach for my face, one more time and gently wipes the tears off my face. No matter what, the tears keep flowing down. "Please don't cry." He whispers.
"You have someone out there just for you. Waiting for you." I whisper softly. A sad smile forms on my face that is now saltier than the ocean bed itself. I try to tug his hand off my face, but his hold is firm. He leans his head down and places it against mine. "I know." His whisper equally soft.
"You need to let go. Just as I am." I close my eyes and take in the breeze of ocean that surrounds him and now me. I hear a deep growl just as his hold tighten on my face but it's still gentle.'
