Zelda and Link have defeated Calamity Ganon and are now free to go their own way. However, it is hard to get to grips with their past, which can get in the way of their present.
And as if that isn't hard enough, there seems to be a new threat that they will need to face.
**This story takes place directly after Breath of the Wild and has no link to Tears of the Kingdom.

The Princess and Her Knight - A Breath of the Wild FanFiction
Before the Great Calamity, Zelda and Link travel amongst Hyrule together. They must learn to tolerate each other on their journey. Zelda, having barely been able to leave the castle much before him, discovered her sense of adventure when she went out with Link. Is it possible that the two of them harbored a secret admiration for each other than ran deeper than friendship? Or would Link maintain his silence and not speak to the princess at all? This story flashes back from before and after the Great Calamity. What happens after Link defeats Calamity Ganon? This story is very long, but if I do say so myself, I think it's worth it! Although the goddess had first planned to have the hero do his journey alone, she took sympathy for him and decided to create him a partner, one that would aid him during the dangerous travels to the Divine Beasts and finally, Calamity Ganon. That was your purpose. 100 years passed since the defeat of the Champions, although one remained. The one you were to help once he awoke from his slumber. It's a princess's dream to be swooped away by her knight in shining armour, but for Zelda, this knight has to be a prince as well, in order to follow the King's rules. Link and Zelda's love is put at stake when trust and loyalty are tested. Can the two break through the laws to pursue their love, or will they give in and follow the path chosen for them? My Silent Knight
It has been a year since the princess and her knight were able to reunite and seal the horror that was Calamity Ganon. Now, the princess wonders through her kingdom of Hyrule, attempting to help her subjects and return the kingdom to it's former glory. Through her travels, she makes sure to keep her silent knight close to her, afraid to ever loose him again. Now, her appreciation and feelings towards the knight grew stronger and through every moment, good and bad, she is determined to stay by his side and never loose him, even if that means loosing herself. One year ago, Link defeated Ganon, freeing Zelda and saving Hyrule. After not having seen Link in many months, they are finally reunited at Zelda's coronation on her 18th birthday.
