"Her voice was different than he imagined. Everything about her screamed delicate, a wisp through the trees, sea foam and smoke. But her voice was hard, stern like a chalkboard or a well placed knife. " Connor returned to his birth country for the first time since childhood to attend his father's funeral and clear out his house. When his late father's friend shows up at the wake with a startled new bride, Connor can't help but feel uneasy. The locals whisper that she may be a selkie folk, a seal turned into an alluring woman. He doesn't believe them, of course, but there is something more to it than he understands. As he clears the cobwebs on his parents troubled relationship he can't help but find their story, and the story of the selkie folk cross in mysterious ways.

Brineborn

The sea takes what it wants-and sometimes, it gives something back. After a brutal storm batters the lonely coast of her village, Maren, the lighthouse keeper's daughter, discovers a mysterious man washed ashore-silent, half-drowned, and unlike anyone she's ever known. With no memory and no name, he's haunted by the water and desperate to return to it. The villagers call him cursed. Maren calls him a secret worth keeping. But the more time she spends with the stranger, the more the sea begins to stir-whispering old stories and awakening long-buried truths. Her father is keeping secrets. The waves are watching. And Maren herself may be tied to the ocean in ways she never imagined. As love and danger rise with the tide, Maren must decide: will she help him find what was lost beneath the waves, or protect the only life she's ever known?
