Years ago the werewolfs took over the whole world. they took mates and had females reproduce. Some Alphas liked to enslave the men.
The Alpha King was the worst of all of them. He had not yet found his mate and was angered by this so he enslaved all men but there were rebellions.
What he did not know is that his mate was not yet born and that he will soon find out when he finds her.
