Leigh Harvelle had her summer all planned out; a humanitarian trip to Africa with her best friends and maybe a safari trip during their free time.
That was until her father, the legendary rock star Jett Harvelle, asked her to come with him on his band's nationwide tour. Leigh then found herself giving up her dream summer just to be with him.
Everything seemed to go according to plan until she got distracted by a Voigtländer lens across the street and an enigmatic-beanie-wearing-moron who doesn't seem to have a name.

Sydney didn't have much, but that was fine with her. She didn't need much. Growing up on the Washington coast in a lonely beach town, working quietly behind the scenes was what she was good at. Living on the beach was much less glamorous than most people imagine. Her home was a beat up old Winnebago that she had shared with her father until he passed. Her father had been a detached parent. He loved his daughter of course, but he was by no means an affectionate man. She had grown up fending for herself, working backstage at a bar that hosted live bands using a fake ID. After the death of her father she saw an ad for a guitar technician for a local Seattle band. A love of rock and roll had been the one thing that her and her dad had in common. Selling everything that she didn't need she packed up her pickup truck and travelled north to the city, leaving the sleepy town in her rear view mirror. She didn't expect to embark on what would become the adventure of a lifetime. For someone who had hardly left the town she grew up in, the opportunity to get paid to travel the country and listen to great music was a dream come true. The band became her family, and life on the road was a perfect fit for her. Chris Cornell instantly became Sydney's best friend in the whole world. They were in love, that was plain as day to anyone who paid attention. Yet, sometimes love isn't as simple as it should be. Sometimes, love hurts. Warning: This book covers potentially triggering subjects such as depression, suicidal ideation, domestic abuse, sexual assault, poverty and drug use. "The moon's really beautiful, if you think about it," I blurted. "Yeah?" he asked, mild amusement and curiosity mingling in his voice. "Yeah," I confirmed. "It's just- there's something about the moon that's ethereal. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's a constant in life. You can't always see it, but you have to trust that it's out there somewhere. And when you can see it, it's all bright and shiny and overcomes the darkness." I paused, searching for the right words. "I don't know. I guess it's a reminder that there are good things out there, even if you can't see them... And it's cool to think that someone hundreds of miles away is staring at the exact same moon as you. It makes me feel not so alone in life." Turning my head, I saw him staring at me intently with a thoughtful look on his face. "Too deep for a Friday night?" I laughed nervously, feeling my face grow hot. And this was precisely why I didn't go to parties. He shook his head and seemed to snap out of his daze. "It was deep in a good way." *** SHE was quiet & left out. Part of a friend group because of convenience. Dealing with fighting parents at home. Looking for more in life. Always wanting to get away from Chicago & start over. 49 parts Complete

[Completed/Edited - 2018 Fiction Awards Nominee for Best Romance] With her elbows pressed against the well-worn wood of the bar, Liz swiped at her phone. She found herself lurking the Facebook pages and tweets of her exes. None of them were particularly bad, per say, they just weren't right. But what is right? She really didn't know, but she knew they weren't it. It wasn't their fault. A lot of girls will say, "It's not you, it's me," but when Liz said it, she really meant it. She was too weird and different than other people. She was starting to think no one would ever be right for her. Liz, a Millennial woman, thinks she's running away from her problems, but she can't run away from herself... Ever since Liz was a child, she has been cursed with seeing her own future. During college she discovered the only cure... alcohol. When drinking begins to fail her, she runs off with ex-rock-musician Rick on a cross-country road trip to find the perfect hamburger in this Paranormal-Romance adventure, Love and Hamburgers. Will Rick's Generation X attitude show her that life can be different or is he just the latest in her excuses for not becoming the woman her parents wish she would be?
