In high school, you think you can trust your friends. Tara thought so anyway. Small town, drinking on the weekend, hanging out with your friends every minute you can. Sounds typical, right? Tara has just started high school and finds herself the group of friends she desperately needs most right now. Living alone with her newly divorced mother that never seems to be home, Tara seeks refuge in the bottom of a beer can, and with her three new best friends, crazy Steph, fearless Ben, and mysterious Dylan. Can Tara really trust them? Or is she going to find herself alone and desperate for someone to lean on the moment it starts to turn sour? There's also an interesting guy in the sidelines that seems to always be there when Tara needs someone -Darren. Will she able to count on him now as he's proven time and time again? It all gets tested one night, at a party. Trust is a hard thing to come by, let's hope Tara has found it.
