The end of days has come early
One of my favorite projects I've ever worked on, The Worst Ending came about from a simple school assignment. We were tasked to write an alternate ending to F. Scott Fitzgerald's book The Great Gatsby. Although I appreciate the book for what it does and says, I hated reading it. So, I took my frustration out on it the best way I knew how. I threw a nuke at it.
Once I finished the prologue (which is what I turned in for the assignment), I realized how cool of an idea I had stumbled upon. I immediately began doing research so I could continue the story, but eventually I had to leave it on the back burner. Recently I took the time to separate it from The Great Gatsby and give it as much polish as I could. I hope you enjoy!

Okay, so here's how it all began. Basically, teenagers have been vanishing across the country and no one has the foggiest idea what's going on (myself included). But at the end of the day I've got bigger things to worry about, such as the eternal hell that is the last day of high school and my psychopathic chemistry teacher. I've got enough going on in my life to be worrying about something I can't do anything about. Famous last words Nick. Suddenly I find myself being dragged into a world I apparently belong to and there's a war going on. The light and the dark are scrabbling for control and everything is hanging by a thread. And I'm stuck in the middle of it. So with the help of a few new friends, some new enemies, beasts, monsters and superpowered teenagers, I'm somehow going to navigate this mad new world and hopefully get out on the other side with all my limbs still intact. I grunted slightly and swiftly grabbed my glasses, pushing my homework off of my chest and shoving my legs into a pair of skinny jeans. I grabbed my shirt and pulled it on, making sure the sleeves covered my hands so I'd have something to hold. I brushed my teeth while putting my things into my back pack and kissed my mother in a a family photo before darting out the front door, and spitting both my toothbrush and the left over bubbles in my mouth onto the grass, I'd have to pick it up later. I ran out to the mail box and waved good by to my horse Smokey's small grave stone, reaching the bus just in time. My day went by as usual. I barely got through most of my classes staying dead silent through out. People would try to interact with me but all I could do was grunt at them. If only I could actually say "Speech Impediment" maybe they would stop talking about me. Some how the usual group of jerks found out I was gay and told everyone. This life sucks. I got into fifth period and Mr. Schmidt looked at me. I froze, Oh hell no. I started to shake as he told me to read. I know he had a speech impediment too, but it was embarrassing to turn down such a request. "Read the next two pages" such an easy sounding task is it not?..... He stepped to me and I froze. Did I mention that my language arts teach was the most beautiful man on earth and his pink collard shirt was clingy?! I guess not. Uneasy Comfort.
So um this story may be on hold as I have lost interest and have no idea how to continue the story... . (Disclaimer, there is NO smut/inappropriate things, just cute and wholesome~♡ but warning, there may be some dark themes throughout.) . . This story is basically a sonic the hedghog fanfic. It's set in a dystopian reality. im still figuring out everyone's stories even the main plot. But I just go along as my mind pleases. The main 'object' that stirs this story is a plant, named the agony night floret, that infects living things. It was created accidentally in a facility by money hungry mobian scientists and main boss, scarlett the fox. she is the main 'villian', surprsingly not eggman lol. the agony night floret infects mobians, putting them in these stages. first a purple blue rash, then disconfiguration then having the chance to rott and turn into creepy lifeless zombie ish creatures, not hostile but really contagious. They roam around isolated areas. Or, they have the small chance by transforming into these cannibalistic 'flesh-gorgers', coming in different types, 3-4 times bigger than hosts/Mobians size. sonic and his friends travel firstly through the thick, white, winter forests, named 'Nobelwoods' in Nahada, trying to find the facility of where it all happened, while unexpectedly coming across a familiar haze of a huge mossy concrete structure of shadows old-old home. Burnt. It will be told why in the story. I have posted drawings of the characters/unfamiliar characters to understand better of what their appearances looks. thankz for reading this far if u have :) (I'm rambling abt the lore lol) . . . .
