You awaken on the floor of an empty room, freshly painted beige from floor to ceiling. The bump protruding from the back of your head is agonizing. Aliens disguised in tan hazmat suits brought you to the room and your recollection of any prior events has been poached by their advanced technology.
There is a hallway, dividing into two more at its end, and so on, in a seemingly endless manner. Each hallway contains one object that can assist your escape from the immaculate maze system.
Choose to use the objects wisely though, as that stone mug could be more than what meets the eye...

Only a fraction of all the planets that give rise to sentient and sapient life have magic. The other thing that's strange, though far less wonderous is that alien abductions are real. The vast majority of abductions are never detected, and never attributed to aliens. The child that goes missing, only to maybe show up, dead, on a distant shore years later. She's known who Theo is longer than he would think possible, and she is taking a great risk contacting him via handwritten notes in order to convince him he deserves more than the fate his father has designed for him. She has one month to exchange daily messages with him, to answer his questions and open his eyes to the realities of a world he has never been allowed to see. A revolution is coming to the Land at the end of the month, and if Merryn's notes fail to get their point across, Theo may never live to see the sunrise on June first. Centuries ago this was a great planet, now it's a husky shadow of its former beauty. Though the remnants of its former magic still linger it was destroyed by power hungry scientists. More tests to make more technology to go further, faster more this more that. Boom It all went up in flames, radiation spilled out into South America from the global power station in Brazil. The nuclear plant 15 times that of Chernobyl blew its top. The initial explosion flattened Brazil and the shockwaves were felt from the Florida keys. But the thing that truly ruined the world was the nuclear fallout. it rained down everywhere turning the world into a desolate wasteland deserts for miles and miles. Now you live in districts to survive, but what's the good in just being a number. Why would you look forward to a future of infant nothing, can you run from that? Where would you go? Where have the people who have escaped gone? Is that a future? What if there's someone who got left behind? "Children, you've made a groundbreaking discovery! I can't say for certain what it is, but we need to call someone right away!" He turns around and faces us. "Your going to go down in history kids! I can't believe you actually-" Before he can finish his sentence six thick orange arms reach out of the hole and grab him at a sickening speed. He doesn't even have time to blink before the arms squeeze and his whole body explodes. Guts and blood shower the room and we all scream in horror. We run towards the door but all of a sudden the floor seemingly gives way into a bright blue nothingness and the room shimmers away around us. We fall. ' Europa follows a group of teenagers/aspiring scientists who accidentally open a portal to another world, becoming trapped there.
