You've lived in a remote location of Fodlan named Remire Village with your father named Jeralt and your sibling, Byleth. Because of the harsh conditions of your home town, and because your father was a former captain of The Knights Of Seiros, you have been raised as a hardened mercenary. One day, a group of three individuals, each one around your age, claims they were chased by bandits. Once they were disposed of, they proceeded to announce that they were students and House Leaders in Garrech Mach Monastery, where Jeralt used to work. Unwillingly, you decide to give the place a visit. Upon the first few uneventful hours of being there, you are summoned by the Archbishop, Lady Rhea, where you and Byleth are offered a job as a professor for one of three houses of your choosing. You choose the Golden Deer house, Led by Claude von Riegan.
Now it's up to fate to decide if this was the correct choice.

Just as the title suggests, you are a student of the Golden Deer House. You were born into Empire nobility, but you ran away from home (for... reasons) and moved to the Alliance. They hit it off right away. And for the first time, Byleth feels as if maybe life really is more than just waking up every day and going through the motions. For the first time in her life, the fear of death disappears from her mind. "BYLETH, YOU'RE DYING." These three words had echoed through Byleth's entire life...but this time, Byleth knew it was true. The doctors showed her screenings of something mutating on her heart. At most, she has one year to live, unless she can find a cure. Despairing about the unfairness of the situation, Byleth swears she will save herself. For her own sake, her life would continue on, especially now that she had become enlightened by Claude's presence. However, it doesn't take him long to figure out something is wrong with his new instructor. Claude promises to stand by her side, and help her. Inspired by this new hope, Byleth and Claude must race against time to find a cure before her clock runs out.Complete
