Katniss Everdeen- viewed as a star prodigy for her skills in archery- is offered a scholarship to one of the best schools in Panem. Seeing the benefits of this opportunity, she abandons her unproductive life in district twelve and sets forth for schooling in the Capitol. Through Katniss's journey, new experiences are tested and they are not just with her education- she sees the benefit to meeting new friends. But when her feelings grow past a friendship for one shy member in the group, these new thoughts may just get the best of her.
