Madeline Weathers has no friends. For the past four summers, she has spent all of her time coping with social anxiety in various houses around the globe as her mother hops around from country to country for job opportunities. But now it's her senior year, and her mother will do anything to break her of her disease. So she does what every mother would do, she sends Madeline to summer camp for psychological travesties.
There she meets a girl with insomnia, a camp counselor with a background in substance abuse, and a boy with bipolar disorder that will ultimately change her life.
The premise of this camp is simple: Fix yourself, and get the hell out.

When she comes back to live with her best friend, she is nothing like she was when she left, but he promised he'd wait for her.
