A young girl by the name of Brea is interested in rumors about a buried treasure that is hidden in the deep depths of the world, with promising fortune for those who are lucky enough to find it. She goes to the group about it, and manages to convince Sam, Elle, Heath, Luke, Skylar, and Avery to go on a worldwide treasure hunt with her. Mia, Mackenzie, Sean, and Shanna choose to follow their own leads and race the other half of the group to get the treasure first, with the help of Dr. Scientist. It's a race against time, each other, and a third party who will do anything to make sure nobody but themselves gets the treasure.

Meanwhile, Mackenzie has to come to terms with the fact that she may be sent away with her birth parents after finding out she was actually abducted at childbirth by the illuminati.
