War veterans, Sonic and Silver the Hedgehogs lost a close comrade of theirs in modern warfare. The three of them served together for 5 years in the Acorn Royal Military. They fought the evil armies of Swift the tyrant.
The Acorn kingdom is now free from Swift's tyranny and dictatorship. After the two veterans return from service, they try and go back to their normal lives, but don't understand how to without their noble ally.
Their fallen brother? Shadow the Hedgehog.

He told them to find someone who would help them to defeat Mephiles and everything will be restored. Before they could ask, the Master Emerald glows up and teleporting the entire world of Sonic to another world. A mysterious yet magical world where mirrored their world but differently. That's where they meet new allies with special abilities and other creatures as the search for the Chaos Emeralds again who was got spread away.
