She is force-fed the idea that because she is special - with magic - she is a danger to society and must submit to the Dyrien Empire as a human military weapon.
It becomes tiring rather quickly.
Stewing with indignation, Afia plans and executes the murder of the five Dyrien Officials that tutored her.

Our female lead Norah had a horrible life, she was abused and abandoned at a young age. She was never loved by those who was to be her family (except for her grandparents). She was engaged to the crown prince Ryan, but was let down by him multiple times. When sent to war she thought she would have him upon return, but he was already married to her younger sister. To make matters worse she was sent to prison for treason. The day of her execution her younger sister Ramona visited her. She came to mock Norah for being gullible and reveal her and the crown prince conspired against her. To hear all this, the little will that was left of her was gone and she was filled with rage and sadness. When brought to the guillotine she shouted her curses to the whole empire and imperial family. The blade fell and she took her last breath but that doesn't mean her story end there.
