Humans have always been infatuated with the idea of power, even when a stronger species of hybrids rise to take it. They call them silver-blood due to its unnatural color or body-snatcher for what they do. Regulars believe his blood is the answer to their outcast problem. It was, after all, the source of his immortality. As greedy as they are power-hungry, regulars seek to capture his kind to learn their secret to gain their own endless life and put an end to outcasts.
Aurelia is an outcast, forced to suppress her gift and fall in line with regulars and be just that; regular. To be discovered would result in her arrest and life-sentence in prison.
