This story is one I've had in the works for over 3 years now, and finally took a stab at writing a year ago... I wrote it for an English project and have been hesitant to post but decided to anyways. I know its not great, hell its rubbish compared to the plans I had. Either way here it is, hope you guys like it and maybe I'll fully flesh it out and write it completely. Anyways on with the plot!

Skeletals came in three varieties in the afterworld of dragon-kind... Drakes were always the top dogs, holding the highest positions and with the sheer strength to back it. Dragons were always middle-class, not powerful enough to gain much other than necessities to scrape by in the afterlife. Wyverns were the lowest of the low... mainly kept as pets or slaves by the others, and laughed at for being the weakest of all. Skeletals are categorized not only by their variety but by their horn count... the less horns the better, 1-horns the best and 7-horns the weakest.
Theo was your average dragon, just trying to scrape by in school, but he's hiding a dangerous secret. Once discovered he must leave home and begin his journey alongside two companions, a Wyvern named Speedy and a Dragon named Boonz...

The Dark One's Daughter
A long time ago before humans roamed the earth there lived dragons and their hatchlings and drakes. They feasted on living animals of the water and land and proud to be able to touch the sky. All of them were different shades of colors and some even bore two or three different colors and all of them sparkled in the sun. One year there was a dark hatchling that when he became a drake and wondered into the sun did not shine. He was the only dragon born that could not shine and was named Dark One by the elders. Years down the road he took his name and used it against all the other dragons and chose to follow an evil path of hatred. One year he left his weir and ventured to other lands to find a home for him. He would find young female dragons and use them just to leave them before she laid her clutch of eggs. Most of them would abandon the eggs and others destroyed them. All except for one female who decided it was not the fault of her young ones that he had left. She decided to keep her clutch and raise them herself without the help of the Dark One that had used her. And thus our story begins ...Complete

One, in particular, draws my attention. That can only mean trouble. This is a "How to train your dragon" fanfic taking place after the second film. Hello, my name is Vince Himura, or that was my name back then. You see, up until a few moments ago, I was your average 20 something paleontologist working day to day in a museum. Most of my time was spent working either in my office, looking through different documents involving recent discoveries, or just working in a lab looking over the fossils we get. In a small village, half hidden along a mountainside, Kieren was slinking between shadows. Footsteps sure even with so little moonlight. The softest brush of bare skin against knobbled and far-reaching trees. Not even a whisper of sound from stepping on the coarse dirt beneath his feet. In this world, Drakes were the epitome of power amongst the species. Only making up 10% of the population, humans making up the other 90%. Drakes could be found in the highest positions of power in communities or in positions to protect others (such as guards, watchmen, knights, patrolman). No one questioned this, dragons taking care of their own. A private species with traditions and rules that only dragons were privy to. Making sure none over-reached so that there would always be peace and harmony amongst the dragon territories and between humans. A symbiosis that all worked hard to maintain. Humans were born with vibrant and colorful hair throughout the world. The more rare the color, the more blessings, respect, luck and riches came to them. Fiery red, leafy green, aqua blue. Eyes that matched their brightest feature. Dressing in the same colors or even brighter shades to demonstrate their extravagance, their standing in society. They normally worked side by side with the higher ranking dragons, helping to keep harmony. All Kieren knew was that he would have to remain cloaked, face obscured at all times. The villagers said he was a defect, so they made him their servant. His skin too pale. Form too slight. Eyes not right. An ugly thing where he should be thankful they did not kill him right away. To be grateful for their pity and staying their hand. The worst, they would tell him, was about the coloring of his features; his hair and eyes. dragon rebirth
The dragons have come and gone since the Pliocene epoch when Wooly Mammoths roamed with humans during the ice age. For many of the I and E generation in the Americas and parts of Europe, it was something to avoid being taken by them to their world. But many knew the stories they told, the things they saw and missed, and in this world of social media, the child coming home, reborn as a shifter. For 16-year-old Nathan that was his reality. For 11 years he's not only avoided getting grabbed but helped others avoid a similar fate. But a black dragon was watching him grabbing him only to lay low in the nearby woods, something they did to pick out who'd they take. It did that for 10 years, more than 3 times longer than usual. His actions and the amount of time he had avoided them made him a sort of celebrity in his town in the midwest. But one day that black dragon made its decision, he was to be her hatchling. When they're usually marked the child could turn to protective mode, running from home to prevent drawing attention to other children for the picking, and that's what he did, right to where they last landed. Luck, choice, a possible spell in those claws, whatever you may think doesn't matter. A black dragon never misses its mark. With agility unsurpassed by the other types they're almost impossible to avoid. But these dragons didn't breathe fire, were a threat, nor in any way the size of a 747 max. All they had that was unique from other creatures was a highly evolved brain with the intelligence of a human and a heart of platinum. Note. Some creatures don't belong to me in any way. But just as the first sign started.just as the tsunami was about to hit the land.the mother Dragon put her egg,inside the cave of protection;the cave that won't let any harm come to those whom are in it.the egg was to be safe.but it would never,ever hatch,unless someone was there to take care of it;meaning if a dragon survived. But the cave and it's magic is now so old,it doesn't know the difference,when the feather of a mother crow touches it.the egg hatches and the baby is helpless,but finds it's was to the crow who freed it.this crow named Cradline,has just lost her chicks and was outcast from her home,so she feels pitty for the dragon.even if it was a mythical dangerous creature,Cradline knew she was looking into the innocent,helpless eyes of a hatching;so she raised him. Cradline names him Argentium unum et( The silver one).but everyone calls him Unus ( One ) He is growing fast. Cradline tries to keep him hidden,but soon he is found.everyone fears this silver beast and try to destroy him.few are on his side and things only get harder when the kings rival,who was always jealous of the king,wanting to be king himself... He had lead the army of animals who tried to hunt Unus.Scrunchy the cat tries many cruel ways to destroy Unus and his friend's.. Cradline just hopes that they will never have to flee out of the safe and secret half of the island they are on and be forced passed the great mount cure and into th dangerous world of the human's....Complete
Upon Wings Of Change
No one ever said what would happen when dragons and aliens meet. And no one told me that I would be in the middle of it. Tasha was studying hard to get through her last year of university when she was kidnapped. She certainly didn't expect to wake up with four feet and wings. Mad scientists are bad enough, but things get even more complicated when aliens appear and wipe out the human race. With several awkward back-winging motions of my wings, I landed lightly on the floor. Well, at least I know my wings work. I glanced at the man in the corner as he was scribbling quick notes. I turned around to regard the tray again. They say practice makes perfect. With another hop and a single wingbeat, I managed to land in the sand tray with fanned wings slowing my momentum.
