DragonStones. Of all the sources of magic these gems, found within the bodies of dragons, are the rarest and most powerful. Upon a dragon's death, the Stone is shattered making whole Stones all but non-existent. While the pieces of a DragonStone retain all their magic, bestowing fantastic abilities upon those who wield them no one can handle the flow from too many DragonStones at once, making a whole Stone the most coveted object across all lands.
A dragon is offered an infant girl as a tribute and raises the child as her own young. The girl grows up believing she is a dragon until a chance encounter turns her world upside, leading to disaster and the emergence of a power not seen in generations.
