Change was something you couldn't deal with. You found comfort in routines, and things happening without at least a two weeks warning terrified you.
When a stranger moved to the apartments, you found things changing too much. There was suddenly demons and ghosts and cults. It was all too much.
But the strange boy was someone you found comfort in. He didn't change. You found yourself enjoying his presence, and not hating it.
