Myako, a Japanese Art Director working in Shanghai meets a disturbing, yet very charming American (Eddie White) who is both terrified by and interested in vintage dolls. Their relationship develops in the context of an abduction-murder scandal and the woman suspects her new lover of being the actual murderer. But Myako herself is not who she seems she is, in fact she is an immortal being, a living dead who had long ago sold her soul to the devil in exchange for the right to live. Things complicate when a drug addict Seattle PD detective comes looking for the man, revealing even more about his supposed crimes. Odd sex choices, sadistic, ritualistic murders and investigators interested in covering up things, nobody is who they seem they are and nobody is safe.

[Vᴏʟᴜᴍᴇ 1 - Cᴏᴍᴘʟᴇᴛᴇ] Evelyn White was born with a gift - or rather, a curse: the first time she touches someone, she sees when and how that person dies. Meeting new people is sickening. Walking through a crowd is hell. Not to mention that when she opens her big mouth to tell people what's going to happen to them, most treat her like she's crazy - even after she saves their lives. But meddling with the future has consequences, and Death is not all there is to fear. As Evelyn races to find a way to save the new transfer student from being murdered, a voice starts whispering in her ear. Someone or something lurks in the shadows. Watching. Waiting. Trying to get close using mind games and tricks. It knows about her powers. It knows she can change Fate - and it's not alone. ------------------------------------------- This book is written in Australian English and uses British style grammar. ****MATURE CONTENT IN BOOK**** ****YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED**** Akuma. That's what some call me. They also call me Myūto. The list goes on. Demon or Mute. Call me whatever you want. It doesn't matter me. I didn't get involved in this life on purpose. I didn't dream of this when I was in school. But here I am. A force to be reckoned with. Everyone knew my name. Everyone was afraid of me. Even The Devil himself respected me, all those related to Bianchi to respected me. I was content with life. Living in the shadows and answering to only myself and one other person...well sometimes answering to him. But that was all before. Before it happened. Before she came back. I thought she'd see the new me and be terrified She didn't. She stayed. Why? Because she found comfort in being with a demon that was bigger than the ones chasing her.
