Unspoken Rules

"Welcome to the world of Unspoken Rules," Her voice sounds beside me.

"Unwritten rules that no one has told you but are certainly still there," she continues.

Life is a complex trail, it has its ups and it downs, meandering paths and not to mention the lack of 'do not deviate' signs.

However, with these 'unspoken rules' guiding our way, only fate will know whether they are truly useful.

As for now, all we can do is wait.

No doubt we'll find ourselves in times of trouble, heartbreak or even love.

But that's life and it doesn't always allow us to control very aspect of it.

"You're thinking again aren't you? Well don't," her voice interrupts.

Nodding my head I pretend to acknowledge her comment, before saying, "So when does the adventure start?"

"Soon," she responds as if she could already predict what's ahead.

She may have been right when saying 'soon', it was just sooner than she expected.

It was sooner than we had both expected.

But we were in it together, no matter what happened.
