Seven years have passed since the first ever Hunger Games took place. Already, Districts One, Two, and Four have been labeled as the most likely winners, and have even started training children for the sole purpose of having them compete for glory. Barely any Victors have come out of the other Districts, none at all from most. Like District Three.

Lyra Hansen has lead a generally normal life since the Dark Days ended. Being socially awkward, her social life isn't considered amazing, but all in all, she's pretty fortunate. At thirteen, she, as well as her twin sister, Arrietta, have no need to take tesserae and have their names in the Reaping bowl twice. But there is still a possibility of one of them being picked, isn't there?

Lyra's life changes when she's chosen to compete. What can she rely on? She has no social skills, survival skills, strength, or really anything else helpful. All she has is her smarts. But that's not enough. She has absolutely no chance of winning.

❝I save others to forget I don't know how to save myself.❞ ➳➳➳ When one has no prospect of life, what shall they do? When their death is guaranteed for daring to be born in a district, and grow up with the title of Victor's child, what's the next step? Should they accept it? Or fight it? Is there a third choice? Dove Ogilvy, the youngest daughter of District Four's controversial victor, found out the existence of the third to be real. The problem, however, was that it could only be given to the future-to-be tribute by a specific person, not decided by the tribute themselves. It was a deal. A life for a life. ➳➳➳ ╔══════ β‰ͺ °❈° ≫ ══════╗ 𝐋𝐄𝐓 ℍ𝔼𝕃𝕃 ππ„π†πˆπ 𝐀𝐍𝐃 πŒπ€π˜ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 πŽπƒπƒπ’ 𝐁𝐄 𝔼𝕍𝔼ℝ 𝐈𝐍 π˜πŽπ”π‘ π…π€π•πŽπ”π‘ β•šβ•β•β•β•β•β• β‰ͺ °❈° ≫ ══════╝ ➳➳➳ I DO NOT OWN THE HUNGER GAMES I only own the Ogilvy kids, a few side characters that aren't mentioned in the book, and my representation of the 66th and 67th Hunger Games. *THIS IS A PREQUEL TO 'IN THIS TOGETHER'! IF YOU HAVEN'T READ 'IN THIS TOGETHER', YOU SHOULD GO DO THAT NOW* Celia Deen wasn't afraid. She had defeated the Capitol. She had hidden from the President in New World. What was there to be afraid of? But in the back of her mind, there was still that sliver of regret. When she looked out her door and saw District One's teenagers training for the Hunger Games, she wished she could have done more. She hadn't done anything monumental. Every year, people still kill. Every year, people still die. It didn't seem like anything was going to change. Why? Why were the Deens the only family who was frightened in a District full of those who are honoured? Why was Celia really chosen for the 200th Hunger Games? Why did her ancestors join the Mockingjay Rebellion? It's time for the full story behind the Mockingjay Rebellion. And it all starts with a spark... Cover creds: @blackbixd
