The year is 2150. In a world torn apart by war, Morgan Prince desperately hopes to escape her home, but this proves especially difficult being that the only kind of transport in existence are police cars, which are heavily guarded. Plus anything faster than walking is illegal, and if you're caught running, you're arrested and most likely sentenced to death. Meanwhile, a missing boy is busy trying not to get caught and rearrested. Excerpt below:
"Hey, Rowan! Get back here!" The Policeman yelled to me in his deep, booming voice.
"I'm not the enemy here, stop running!" He yelled. But despite his protests, I continued to run as fast as I could.
"I'm here to help! Stop!" he panted. I wouldn't listen, I shut my eyes and pushed on. Policemen had used these tricks on me before. They tried to make you believe that they were on your side so that you would stop fleeing. And last time it had worked. I had stopped running away from the authorities only to find out that when they finally caught up to you, you went right back to Montanna.
My muscles burned. And though I had strong muscles from spending five years in prison, I couldn't outrun this guy for much longer.
I knew all of the small woods that surrounded the abandoned cabin quite well by now. I decided that once I reached them I would chance my luck at taking the tunnels that ran under ground from town to town. Only I knew about the secret entrance to the tunnels. I built it. The entrance was located to the left of the tallest tree in the woods. Fairly easy to find if I told you to look for it. I just had to hope that they were empty at this time of day.
The sun had almost set by the time I got to the tree. I had gotten lucky today. The Police would have caught up with and arrested most people by now. Thankfully, I am not most people.
I am Rowan.
Season 4 of The Virus Within
Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again.
When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
