The end of the world should never have been so fun.

The plague wasn't fun, of course, but once the dust settled and the wealthy barricaded themselves away in safer cities, the kids left behind were left with no laws, no structure, and no limits. In their new wild west, there's only one rule: survive. 

Daisy stole a motorcycle and dreams of riding to Vermont. Her best friend Sebastian wants to steal his dad's gun and plant a garden in the woods. Hayden dreams of escaping his cousin's violent control over the town's clean water.  Benji just wants to go down swinging.

Welcome to Saturn County, Michigan. Drinking age is 21 months.

Three hundred years after the fall, the known world is beginning to regain a semblance of order, with the sword the ultimate power once more. But not everything of old was lost, and there are some that will exert deadly effort to obtain what was left behind. Orphaned, plague-marked and mistrusted by the community he lives in, a boy must come to terms with the fact that he is different from everyone else, but is soon the focus of unwelcome and deadly attention. Separated from her father, a young girl has to learn to survive in a foreign land haunted by tribes of ghosts and roving bands of piratical thralls to a sadistic King. A watcher keeps lonely vigil from within a fortress that has been under siege for hundreds of years, while a soldier dies for the twenty-third time, and dies again while wondering if he is going mad. First started in 2015, this story is at 50k+ words, but was removed when a plotting hiccup was encountered. I now intend to split it into three parts, and this is the complete Part 1. After it all happened, the Plague created what feels like a whole new world. Survivors created new lives for themselves and carried on with their lives. Me? I didn't get the chance to create a new life. Thanks to my absolutely wonderful father figure, I was forced to become an entirely different person. Thankfully I was able to escape his peachy influence and take some control of my new life. What I don't know is the Plague brought on after effects. Everything changed eleven years ago and only a few knew what actually happened after billions of people died. That all changes one-day though and I found my life completely flipped upside down.
