I feel his finger lightly touch my chin, turning my face to meet his own. "You are always more than enough for me. Nothing else matters."

The kingdom of Addera has always held true to its traditions. The first born son always takes the throne. The kingdom never allies with Fieria. The royal children always participate in The Selection.

Prince Liam is now eighteen and ready to take his turn in The Selection with his twin sister Princess Louise by his side. Twenty suitors for each sibling will be arriving at the castle to find the most eligible addition to the royal family. Whether they marry for love or to strengthen the kingdom is up to them, but they must find someone to marry within a year.

When Anastasia Rowe receives a letter of application to The Selection, she, unlike most girls, is most decidedly unexcited. She would never fit in with such uptight, high society know-it-alls. To apply to this would be to give up all she has in Malbergh and the life that she is used to, only to go to the castle and try to last as long as possible.

With only twenty girls being selected, it's highly unlikely for her to be chosen, even if she were to apply.
