With ties to several endings, this story is based off of the theory that all women in the Stanley Parable are connected, and the "Mariella/insanity ending" is the true one. This is simply a fun story and not an actual analysis of which ending is the "true one".

This story is written to represent an entirely platonic relationship but I suppose you can interpret it however you want. You take the place of Stanley, and after four years you start to realize different ways you can communicate with the narrator.
