Rey stays on Tatooine while the resistance tries to bring a new order to the galaxy. After the defeat of the First Order and the death of the man she loves, she is not sure what to do. But what if he wasn't actually dead? What if the Wills sent him back to liver is life with Rey? This is their story.
Takes place after TROS, so obviously spoilers.
I refuse to believe that Ben is dead and this is how I am coping with it.
I own nothing except for the plot. Everything goes to Disney and Lucas-film. I found the cover art online.

This is a Ben Solo/OC story. I do want to be clear that I am a die hard Reylo fan but this idea came to me and I need to run with it. What if Ben had been too late? What if he couldn't have brought Rey back, where would he go? Ben finds himself back on Tatooine where it had all began but he isn't alone. Beykha Novan has taken over the Lars Moisture Farm and doesn't take kindly to strangers but something about the mysterious Ben tells her to trust him to help him. Meanwhile Finn is convinced that Kylo Ren has killed his beloved Rey and has made it mission to find Ren and kill him - no matter the cost. (AU) Luke is gone. Kylo Ren is the new Supreme Leader. The Resistance is all but decimated. Now, all responsibility falls on Rey to balance the Force and bring an end to this war. But as a relatively untrained Jedi, she will not be able to find balance in the Force when she cannot find balance within herself. With whispers of Palpatine's return, the Dark side has been growing stronger and stronger every day. Will she be able to defeat them or will the pull to the Dark be enough to turn her and cause a different ending to the war? *This is an alternative universe that takes place just before/during the events of the Rise of Skywalker. There will be some things that could be similar to the film, but I will be changing quite a bit. Ever since she settled in on the desert planet, Rey started training a new order of Jedi, teaching them about the balance of the Force, taking her mind off of what happened on Exegol until after her lessons, because that's when she tries to reach out in the Force to search for him. For Ben Solo. But even after months of trying to reach out to him day after day, Rey still fails, believing he doesn't want to see her. She is frustrated and desperate, and about to give up hope until she finds out about a place existing within the Force, a place existing between time and space: the world between worlds. Could Ben be stuck in the world between worlds? Could he have been alive after all? And can Rey bring him back? All characters and planets are from Lucasfilm/Disney.
