With inevitable doom looming, Bray must serve in the war between good an evil as the Commander of the Queensguard. A position only appointed to the most morally worthy knights by God himself. When Bray finds himself in violation of the oath he has sworn to uphold by falling in love with the very queen he has sworn to protect, it may be God himself he will have to answer to.
