Scootaloo has been left out of a lot lately. She barely gets to see Rainbow Dash anymore, since now she is needed in the Circle of Friends. It's a major time demand on the pegasus's part, seeing to many friendship cases and attempting to resolve them fairly.

With Applejack and Rarity working alongside Rainbow Dash and their friends, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle have had to step up to take care of their sisters' jobs. Much to Scootaloo's dislike, the Cutie Mark Crusaders have been unable to search for their talents together.

With school out, Scootaloo has too much time on her hooves and not enough things to do. Even with the extra time the CMC uses to meet, they discuss Applebloom's and Sweetie Belle's work covering for their sisters and how much of a drag it is.

Scootaloo leaves the clubhouse early one day, out of frustration. During this time, Sweetie Belle and Applebloom decide to try each other's jobs. What they were not expecting, was to show up to the clubhouse the following day with their new cutie marks.

Outraged, Scootaloo flees to the Circle of Friends, demanding they be reprimanded for crusading without her.
