It had never crossed her mind that she had could have been something more than the girl that Mr. and Mrs. Collins had found lost in the middle of the woods in Allensworth. She had just assumed that she was running away from someone because that was the only thing she had been doing. Running. She had taught herself to fish and hunt in the five hottest summers of her life, trying to stay hidden and unseen.
Once she's found, she doesn't know how to cope with all of the people around her and eventually gives up trying to push them away, she lets them embrace her.
Though, what will she do when a man claiming to know who she really is comes to mess up all that she had made for herself? She doesn't have a clue and hopes that her one skill will be able to help calm the wind storm threatening to engulf her.
Can Lanie cope, or will she be lost to the chimes of the wind?

-If my memory serves correctly, it's been 12 hours since I was kidnapped.- * * * Haley Parker had everything. The perfect family, friends, boyfriend - what more could she want? If only she had learned to be a little more cautious when turning her back to the earth's shadows. Just as things may be falling into place in her life as an adult, she suddenly finds herself across the country, away from home, from everything she's ever known, with nothing but unfamiliar places and her kidnapper not too far away. But perhaps she isn't completely ripped away from everything familiar to her. When Griffin Johnson, her previous boyfriend before he moved 3000 miles away to the west coast, finds her wasted in a bar in California, he knows something is very wrong. And when Haley can't remember a thing, they're both left in the dark as her kidnapper continues to lurk nearby ready to strike again - this time without the intention of messing up. Will they figure out who Haley's kidnapper is and capture him? Or will she return home without her memory of that night, the knowledge of who turned her life upside down, or even her one true love? * * * -An American poet by the name of Walt Whitman once said, “Keep your face towards the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you.” If only I learned not to take things so literally maybe I wouldn’t be in the mess I am right now. It didn’t even matter that I was carrying my so-called ‘trusty’ pocket knife.- Sequel to Not His. (A Shorter Story)
Hunted Series - The R Rated Chapters by Corinder
7 parts Complete Mature
Adult Chapters: For story purposes, the chapters are written in the adult versions and then edited for PG-13. (This helps me understand where my characters are going.) But I am also uploading them here to be read freely as they come up. :) This is for the Prequel, Hunted & Hunter The appeareance of two injured, sick and panicked non-pack werewolves, known as mutts, in New York is usually not a cause for alarm. It's easily dealt with. But two female mutts, appearing out of no where, already months into their changes, this is a cause for alarm. There should only be two female werewolves in the world- Elena and her five year old daughter. So where have these two come from? Elizabeth, an Australian, is one of those new mutts, and running from her past is something she's keen on doing. Even her mind's in on denial- she remembers nothing since coming to America months back, except flashes of torture, torment, and her own stubborn will to survive when others haven't. Yet somehow she can trust the American werewolf pack, though she can't understand why, and allows them to offer her and her friend safety from those who would bring her back to pain, torture and to a man who still haunts her with the name 'Master'. He isn't the only man that haunts her though. Someone else in the pack seems to remember her too. Jeremy, the Alpha of the American werewolf pack, and Elena, the alpha-in-training, are brought face to face with a new Alpha, his pack and his attempt to claim America, kill off all the pack werewolves, and to capture Elena and her daughter for himself. Only with the assistance of 'Anne', as Elizabeth now calls herself, and Pav can they know where to start looking.

I could feel the same restlessness also coming from me, well my wolf. I ignored it, however and still I ran. I couldn't figure out why I was running, but I was. I didn't want to be caught by whatever it was that was following me. The thing got in front of me, and I had to jump back before I ran into.... a very large wolf. Those clear green eyes contrasted from the fact that the wolf was dark as night. *** Meet Bethany Ann Evergreen, half Werewolf and half human, with a side of trouble.
