Basically, all the known tributes from the 74th hunger games are insane : Glimmer is a stripper, Marvel is just generally mental, Clove has a pet knife, Cato is on drugs, Foxface is a singing cheerleader, Rue thinks she can fly, Thresh thinks he's Iron man, Katniss loves teddybears picnics and Peeta thinks he's bread...these are the private training sessions for them.

Seventeen year old Finch Crossley has been chosen to participate in the 75th hunger games, and she is absolutely devastated by it. With her experience with throwing knives and survival, she thinks that she can at least make it to the top ten... until she meets the rest of the tributes, which include a small yet nimble girl named Rue and her bulky district parter Thresh, Katniss, who may look small and weak but is a complete powerhouse when it comes to using a bow and arrow, and of course the careers. Now Finch is not so sure about being able to make it to the top ten at the least. While training, a certain someone catches her eye.
