Elenora Rivers is a 23 year old from Upstate NY. She lives in a small town on the border of Canada called Millington. She has lived there her whole life. Her parents are divorced. Her father lives in a small town in Sweden and her mother lives in the same little town Elenora does.
After losing her job, she desperately searches for a job that will help her get back on her feet. She applies for a vocal coach job at the castle of Katovia ( ka-tove-ee-uh ). She is surprised to get a letter in the mail stating that she is accepted. She is to teach the Queen of Katovia's daughter how to sing and play piano. She gets her own suite, and she gets to bring her cat with her.
King to be, Silas Michaels, is a stressed individual who is preparing for his coronation that will take place on Christmas Eve. After a stroll through the castle one night due to insomnia, he hears the angelic voice of Elenora singing at the piano. He silently listens and when she disappears to go back to her suite, he realizes that she left her sheets of music with lyrics. He wants to know this girl more than ever and he is determined to do so.
