Brianna Marshall is still mourning over the loss of her husband seven months ago. What's worse? She's pregnant with his baby.
When she decides to join a support group to cope with his death, she meets interesting people with different stories.. one of them being Abe Beckham, who lives in his own guilt after losing his brother in an accident.
As Brianna grows closer to motherhood, Abe notices her uneasiness toward raising her baby alone. Soon, he's drawn to her and wants to help her.
Brianna learns everyone's stories, and she learns to help them along the way. This is a story of new relationships, understanding, and helping one another.
"I-I can't do this. I can't do it alone." A tear falls from upon her eyelashes, and I step forward to gently wipe it away from her cheek. My hand lingers there, feeling the soft unblemished skin of her beautiful face.
"You don't have to, Bree. I'm here. We're all here for you." I smile down warmly at her, and she looks up at me with a vulnerable gaze. Her walls are finally starting to collapse. I can feel it.
I almost forget about the small group of people behind me until she glances in the distance behind me. I turn swiftly to look at them before turning back to Brianna. "Don't worry. They'll understand because.. we all have our own wasteland."
