Verena Liesel had a vendetta against The Templar Order. Seen as a quiet daughter of a high ranking templar, she doesn't agree with their beliefs nor values. Neither, it seems, did her mother. When Verena's mother is hung for treason, the girl falls into grief and watches her father grin. Escaping to the foothills of Germany, she's followed. Her mother was hung for treason because of her childhood. She was hung because in 1933, The Templars gained a new grand master. Adolf Hitler.

True moon

If you had told me three years ago that I would be deciding the fate of Esme, a woman I had once considered a mother to me, I would have laughed. If you had asked me if I would ever even consider ordering her death, I would have answered no with shock at the question. Yet now I was not sure. Now I hated the woman who stood before me, I hated my second mother. And the only person I hated anymore in my entire life was her son. Edward. When Edward left, Bella was pulled into a world of darkness. She slowly began to recover: mending her relationship with some of the Cullens, that was until the Volturi came. Because what the Cullens seems to have forgotten is that they have broken a strict rule and the Volturi aren't going to let them get away with it.
