Marinette is a poor, kind, village girl with big dreams. She lost her parents at a young age and lives with her grandma in the wide kingdom of Parisilia, ruled by King Gabriel and soon led by his son, Prince Adrien.
When her grandma falls terribly sick, Marinette journeys to the other side in hopes of finding the ancient leader Master Fu, who is said to cure the most abnormal diseases. Halfway, she gets gravely injured, and finds herself rescued by the Prince Adrien who nurtures her back to health, hiding her from Gabriel. When Gabriel finds about what's happening he throws Marinette out of the castle, not knowing that the unthinkable happened, not knowing who she is. Not knowing that she's the daughter of their enemy.
Underneath it all, it's the warm smell of war. It's a rebellion for a new king in Parisilia, and crops and harvests are failing, as the epidemic spreads killing everybody in its path, not sparing Marinette.
Beneath Marinette lays a big, ancient bloodline, as Marinette tries to discover who she really is.
Will Marinette and Adrien really have the perfect fairytale?
