Miyuki does not believe in the supernatural or cosmic beings. He's seen older folk passing out flyers in passing about "the end is near". Miyuki knows better than to associate with bad news. Those group of ladies, passing out the flyer went missing two days later. He started going down a different route to school, albeit slower than he'd like to admit. 

Miyuki doesn't scare easy, and His generation has forgotten what it is like to live in fear. Miyuki and his friends do not need gods and goddesses to give them meaning. Their kids and as a adult Miyuki can agree he won't always be the same person regardless of religion. Realistically, the only thing living rent free in Miyuki's head is baseball.
