This story takes place after Episode 9: Rise of Skywalker and does contain contain spoilers from that film as a result.
This book is the second book in a series but it is written in a way where you can enjoy it by itself. The first book is called Forced Connection Episode 1.
Rey has just lost Ben Solo after he has saved her from the break of death. However, her recently found feeling for him might be clouding her judgment. She swears she still feels him through their dyad connection and wonders if this means there is a chance of his return. This story is about her search for him and answers to other questions as well.

Rey and Kylo / Ben continue to have a strong connection but try to suppress or ignore them as both believe the other is lost. Then Leia dies and the dead of his mother plunges Ben into a crisis. Hux takes advantage of this moment, takes the power and tries to kill Ben. This one can escape badly injured. Rey is also weakened by Ben's lethal injury and finds out through the research in the jedi's books that she and Ben are inextricably linked by the Forcebond originally created by Snoke....
