Winter Janus has a terrible secret. Unlike the other people in the Hydro nation, she has the power to manipulate and create ice. If the government ever found out this secret she could be thrown in jail or worse, killed. For years Winter has kept this secret, but she knows that on the day of her Testing she will have to reveal her powers and face the consequences. When the reveal of her powers has the opposite effect, she is whisked off to fight a war with a group of the craziest people she has ever met. The war against the Pyros has Winter occupied for the time, but it is not long before she realizes that there is a strange, mysterious force lurking right behind the borders.

{Set before X Men, then skipping into X2) Sierra Storm was always an anomaly among her peers. She always wanted nothing more for herself, to just be normal. When she manifested her powers at the age of 12, she was so terrified to find out that she wasn't normal. Until one day, Charles Xavier tracked her down, to tell her or confirm to her rather, that she was in fact a mutant, a very, very powerful one at that. She was brought to the Xavier's School for the Gifted, and she was accepted and integrated into the school, despite her doubts and all of her misgivings about being a mutant and especially a powerful one like Charles said about her. She was not expecting to find two boys there, that had all complete oppositional mutations who also happened to be best friends. One had the mutant name Iceman or Bobby, while the other was Pyro, or John as he had been called since birth. They quickly gave her the nickname Element, after realizing that she had many useful abilities and they were all related to the elements. They also found out very quickly enough to their pleasure, after accidents around the school, that by combining their gifts of their specific elements to hers, that they could create something even more powerful then what they already had on their own.
