"Wow, is that really how television portrays me. I only do that if the person fails to complete their task." He's not making his case any better. "So, tell me what is it that you long for." He leaned in close to my face. I just stared at him. I wasn't about to tell him what it is that I want from this life. Satan or not, he can kiss my ass. "So that's it huh," he said dryly.
"What?" I step back quickly. There's no way that he found that out by just looking at me, am I that predictable.
He crossed his legs and began to levitate. "You want 'real love'," He said, doing air quotes. "I'm sorry, I can't just give you love. That's out of my field of magic."
I feel a pang in my heart. Maybe all this isn't worth it. "Oh." That was all that left my lips.
"You didn't let me finish." He cleared his throat. "While I won't be able to just give you love, I can help you find it." That sentence lifted my spirits. "You see, I have a son. He is a troublemaker and likes to do anything to see me angry and insufferable. I can tell I caused him to be clouded by darkness suffering because of the way I raised him. I want him to be happy again. That's where you come in."
