Another day passed and once again another foster home. Gerard never stayed long, he never planted his roots, he only said his hellos and then furthermore goodbyes. He had been fostered with just about every other Catholic in New Jersey and it wasn't a lie to say he had come to a mild hatred over the holy buildings. Until one day... one day and one boy made it just a little more tolerable.
Heads up for triggers here, I'll add when I get to them but this story will deal with pretty heavy topics regarding religious trauma and homophobia. /homophobia/

I like to think I have improved on writing since this time and I really don't like this. So many regrets... [Complete] Frank Iero has been suffering from the 'incident' ever since it happened. What made it worse was that it was completely his fault. His mother notices his behaviour afterwards and sends him to a therpy group. He knows he can't be 'cured' because there was nothing to 'cure'. This was him, left with the faded memories of the 'incident'. Gerard Way had to move schools because of bullying. Of course, it wasn't exactly bullying if quart labled it as abuse. For his project "homophobia is gay" he interviews a few people but decides that this won't be enough. What if he could introduce one of them to his world and show them that it's not bad to be gay? I started this story off trying to somewhat vaguely base Frank and Gee off of Harley and The Joker, but with a little twist. I have no idea how it ended up the way it did, but I like it. How can two people so different be so perfect? A story of romance, tragedy, healing, and finally happiness, because everyone needs a happy ending sometimes. - Gerard doesn't talk to anyone, he doesn't know anyone, he's completely absorbed in the little bubble that is his independent little life. He's homeschooled as well, which means he only ever leaves to get groceries. For how little he leaves the house, and how closed off he is, it's quite a wonder how he met Frank. Frank is an extrovert and he kind of lacks boundaries when it comes to making friends. He's curious and speaks his mind constantly, which sometimes gets him into trouble. It must be good for something though, because not many people bother to figure out Gerard. They were murdered, they were attacked and now they're dead. That's all Frank knows about his parents - gone before he'd even had chance to miss them, and it was fucking with his head. The police reckoned that moving away, to rural New Jersey with his grandparents would help him cope with the loss, but even Frank knew that they couldn't be more than wrong, because despite the dull sleepy atmosphere of the town, there was something unidentifiable yet impossibly unnerving about the place, and really, perhaps was safer in his parents home than he ever was here. And there's something physically wrong too - a figure that lurks in the smoke, fog, and shadows - a silhouette the deepest black he'd ever seen, the kind that brought an unsettling feeling to Frank's stomach, and really Frank's wasn't one to be overly twitchy about things like this, but from the moment he first met him, he could never shake the feeling that the figure was always following him. Though when Mikey called him one day, he offered Gerard a job at the All Boys Christian private school just a few blocks downtown. When he goes to work each week, a student in particular starts getting on his soft side even though their love is illegal. Frerard TRIGGER WARNING Gerard just needs some help. He won't get any help, and he won't listen to Mikey, or his mom. Really, he's isolating himself to protect them, and everything is getting worse. After waking up on his bathroom floor, he knows it's gone too far, but he's just letting everything slip out of his hands. That is, until Frank appears out of nowhere and tells him to stop. Frank Iero just needs someone. His mom is never around, and his dad is out of the picture, leaving him all alone. He doesn't have any friends, and he feels like he's just fading into oblivion and no one really cares. Really, he's all on his own, and he needs someone. But he never thinks he'll have anyone. That is, until Gerard. So they're both pretty fucked up. But they need each other, and they want each other, and they're determined to make it work. It isn't always easy, in fact, it rarely seems to be. But it's all a bit better if they can just hold each other's hands through it. Trigger Warning-Alcohol, drugs, self harm, suicidal thoughts, self hate, mild irregular eating habits, depression and anxiety. Gerard got mad easily-and when he got mad, you would fear for your life (well, probably not literally) but he was dangerous and got mad easily and all the time. Maybe it got out of hand when he wound up putting an innocent kid in the hospital almost killing him. Everyone scared of Gerard. Except maybe one kid.
