Y/N has known Rick Sanchez since she was 27. She up and left her home, Dimension K-11, when she was 22 and has since traveled to different dimensions and planets to escape her troublesome life. It's been five years since that day, four years since they "got together" and... Two since she died.

Rick's confident that he'll figure it out, but on a planet full of outdated technology, it looks like a short adventure is going to become a weekend trip. X-216 Rick is the complete opposite of C-137. He's anxious, withdrawn and paired with a Morty who's a little meaner than he is. But C-137 Morty gets attached to him--and his Rick has no choice but to deal with a broken portal gun, a Rick whose hands shake with anxiety and a Morty that likes to challenge everyone. Despite everything, C-137 doesn't lose his confidence. But what he doesn't know is that an enemy lurks on Arcturo. This enemy knows what frightens him, and as the week goes on, C-137 can only watch as his plans, relationships and sanity start to unravel. (Takes place after season five.)

The reluctant challenger's inexplicable charms win over our heroine in spite of herself, setting off a chain of dangerous, thrilling, and of course, romantic events. Will this unlikely pair survive, will the peas be thawed properly, and might they even solve the greatest question of existence? If you're looking for sexy stuff, there is some, but it's sweet. If you're looking for Rick (and have a crush on him), there's a lot. I wrote him a tiny bit less dysfunctional than the animated Rick, and a good bit nicer. Because let's face it, the animated Rick (as much as I adore him) honestly isn't full-on romance material. Nevertheless I hope the reader will recognize our acerbic, genius, foul-mouthed hero in all his quirky glory. This story was written between Rick and Morty season 3 and 4. In it, I assume the legitimacy of Rick's past wife Diane Sanchez, who was referenced as a memory projection in "The Rickshank Redemption,"and brushed off by Rick as a fabricated backstory. If future episodes uphold that Diane is indeed a fake, my apologies! JUSTIN ROILAND STYLE LOGLINE FOR THIS STORY: Rick competes to rule the multiverse in this one broh.
