The year was 1970 and it was a beautiful time to be alive. Although things were evolving, there were still things that made me wonder. I knew we did things out of love. I also knew we did things out I'd hate. I couldn't figure out why there was so much hate in the heart of humans. Why couldn't we just do what was right? Then again, what is right? Eighteen year old Carla was the curious colored girl of Money, Mississippi. Money was no place for potential and pride to be inside of a colored girl, let alone a colored person at all. Feeling like she's at a wits end, Carla begans to follow the normal lifestyle of colored folks. That was until she met Jacob. Is Jacob the extra push she needs to become what she wants? Or will he lead her down a path of unbearable pain?

Calcutta, India. 1899 Being a woman in this age means being tied under the shackles created by the British and an equally orthodox society. Headstrong and outgoing, Anvesha doesn't care what people think about her. She is not one of those women who stay in their homes and pop children for their husbands. She is determined to pry her freedom. Alexander Stewart is a "childishly" arrogant man of eighteen. His journey to life begins when he comes to India with his two best friends, Matthew Hemmings and Jordan Wedlock. The day he crosses paths with the fierce looking Indian woman, he's sure that coming to India was the worst of his decisions. But will time change his mind? A feeling other than hatred; would something develop? (Descriptions would really be the death of me. Don't be disappointed, give this book a chance ^_^ ) ...
