Mature
Married to a man who would go to ends of the earth to make her happy, Layla didn't live the picture perfect life she had always dreamt of. It was rather considered a curse

After the second beep, his gruff voice rang on the other end of the call
"si, who am I speaking with "

Her heart thudded sharply in her chest on hearing his voice, he would forever have that effect on her.

"Don't waste my time, I have important things to do " He spoke on obviously irritated at her silence

Layla's lips quivered in what seemed like an attempt to make a sentence but rather she hung up the call after seconds of utter silence.

The pretty little bundle of joy begun crying in her crib immediately Layla picked up the glass of water on her side table, it was as if she was aware of her mother's vile intentions.

"Loving you is exhausting and hard. Give me a freaking break." he said. "Then why are you still here?", she whispered with a pale and trembling voice, holding back the tears that were willing to fall down her cheeks. Laura never wanted to fall in love with someone she couldn't touch - someone who only existed behind a screen, a voice borne by time zones and poor connections. But Evan made distance seem hazardous. He made every silence burn. "You could've stopped talking to me." she said to him once. "I tried," he said. "You just wouldn't leave my fucking head." Somewhere in between their late-night phone calls and the words they never spoke, something real started to take shape - delicate, wrong, and beautiful. But love such as theirs was going to shatter. It was constructed on waiting, on jealousy, on all the things they couldn't have. And maybe that's the cruelest kind of love - the kind that feels infinite, but ends the moment you wake up. Until Aiden walked in - the man who was real, present, and everything Evan couldn't be. Aman who had actually been beside her even when she broke his heart, even when she drifted away to chase someone who made her heart ache in ways she never imagined. "He doesn't deserve you. please wake up Lau." Aiden told her. "Then why does it still feel like he's the one?" she whispered. "You're crazy." Somewhere between what she wanted and what she needed, Laura lost control. Between time zones and heartbreak, between messages and memories, something between them had shattered. Because sometimes, love doesn't ask you to choose between two people - it asks you to choose which part of yourself you're willing to destroy.

He doesn't know how much he's breaking my heart right now. "Trinity, I don't know how to show you how much sorry I am." He states, rubbing his face with his hand in frustration. "You can't, your 'sorry' doesn't changed what happened." I point to my face, where the bandage is. "This could have been prevented but you didn't even move a muscle to come and save me." "Trinity, if I did that it could have ruined my plans." He says, lowly. "It doesn't matter. If you truly love me like you say you do, you wouldn't have hesitated to come save me. I was so scared Aaron, I thought I was going to die." I respond, tears spilling before I can stop them. "I do love you Trin, I love you so fucking much." He states, clutching his shirt where his heart is. "Not like the way I love you Aaron. If you were in the position I was in, I wouldn't have fucking hesitated to come save you. I would die for you and you clearly wouldn't do the same." - Trinity's planner didn't originally have "falling in love with Aaron Florence" on it, but after a heated night and multiple dates, it became a daily thing. That is until, she learns about what he does for work. She knew he worked with Reid Laurent, but she didn't know about what they did. Ambitious, Aaron Florence is willing to do anything to finish a work task, or mission, even if it puts his loved ones in danger. And it did. Now, terrified and pregnant, Trinity doesn't know what to do, how can she co-parent with the man who claimed to protect her at all costs but didn't? - scandalous © r3mismylove 2022 all rights reserved
