*Starts out in the same timeline as Servant Of Two Masters*

Merlin and the Knights are out on a trip, when they are suddenly attacked by a group of bandits. Merlin ends up getting hurt and is eventually captured by Morgana. Originally, she plans to use him to kill Arthur. However, what would happen if she were to see his scars? What if she were the one to discover that there's more to Merlin than meets the eye? How will she react when she finds out that Merlin is more that just a servant?

*****

So like I said before this starts out with like the first 5 minutes of A Servant of Two Masters. If you have seen the scars type of stories before, this is a little bit like that. The difference is, it's Morgana that sees his scars first, which sparks some interesting conversations.

Disclaimer:

This is not a Merthur story. There may be some Mergana...
Also I do not own any of the characters or setting or stuff like that.
Hope you enjoy the story!

I hesitate. Why did I have this strange feeling? This strange aura behind the door. It wasn't like a threatening kind of feeling. But it was strange. Like if I opened this door, it would change my life forever. I hear a knock again. I shake my head from these feelings and thoughts. I then open it and look down to see a young child with a hood on. "Hello? Did you need something?" I ask. The child looks up and takes her hood off, revealing her long, black hair. The young girl looks up at me, showing her blue eyes. "Can I help you with something?" "Yes. I'm looking for my Father." Athena says. I ask, "Do you know his name?" "Yeah." she nods. I smile. She was a adorable little girl with blue eyes. I can't help but think she looked awfully familiar. "Well?" I say. "You." she says. I then feel a deep pit in my stomach. She can't be. "Pardon?" "You're my father. Merlin. Servant to the King." she says. "....no." I say softly. This can't be happening. "I'm your daughter." she smiles. My daughter. Who I didn't even know existed until now, is standing right in front of me. Will be responsible for the fall of Camelot. The beginning of Morgana's rule. And the death of Arthur. ------------------------------------ Merlin on the path to restoring magic to the Kingdom and protecting the once and future King Arthur Pendragon is now faced with a dilemma after seeing a vision of his daughter killing Arthur. Especially since she is at his door looking for him. On top of his destiny to protect Camelot and Arthur, he needs to be a Father to a daughter with magical abilities like him and seer powers like Morgana which seem to grow stronger every day. Will the vision be true? Or will he need to do something drastic to stop it from ever happening? Will she be the very thing that helps him save Camelot or the thing that destroys Camelot? Would he be able to kill her? Or protect her? Save the Kingdom? Or save his daughter?

He does not remember the feeling of panic rising in his throat at the thought that he would not be discovered before he became nothing more than a dead corpse in a dead Queen's garden, an errant child out of bed after hours.' **** After a lifetime of living on the knife-edge of death, when a seventeen year old Arthur is nearly killed by a traitor to in the very heart of Camelot, all he gets is a second glance and an imperious command from his father that Arthur is to get a new manservant. What's worse is that all his protests seem to fall on deaf ears. Arthur doesn't exactly have the best history with manservants. And it seems like this one with Merlin is going to be shorter and worse than most. It is not just that he is forgetful, or disappears for days on end, but it seems like he had no grasp of common human behaviour. But despite everything, they manage to forge a friendship, and one night, long-kept secrets are revealed, pledges and sacrifices made, and a new era birthed.
