The Dark War brought to an end the reign of the witches. For a few years, the sky was blue and the bread was white, yet the transience of the peace was known to all. Decades later, evil stirs again. Far from the gates of Arlana, the last remaining kingdom of the elves, something unknown and sinister rises on the plains of Elderfrost.

When the birds return, Athena knows that the peace is over. With a faithful companion beside her, she must travel to Elderfrost, armed with a terrifying power she cannot control.

But nothing is as it seems.
