Eventually, the marines see them as friends instead of their enemies, and choose to take them under their wing and hire them, yet when things begin to look up for Ruby, Izzy and the Marine Officer, their situation takes a turn for the worst and grows grim... however, Ruby and Izzy have secrets of their own that they choose to hide. Eventually, the marines see her as a friend instead of a foe, and choose to take her under their wing and hire her, yet when things begin to look up for Ruby and the Marine Officer, their situation takes a turn for the worst and grows grim... what will happen next? and will the two be able to travel The Distance?
