She walked down the street slowly, almost lazily with her body moving fluidly. The sky was pale and growing darker with every passing minute. Soon it would be night and she could run free once more. Then the hairs on the back of her neck rose suddenly and she whipped around quickly. No sooner had she turned then a bullet whizzed beside her head and the sound of the shot blasted into the evening air. She didn't take time to see who it was shooting at her but turned and bolted.
