Ella King has finally run out of excuses to avoid going back to her hometown. For years she's used concert dates, record sessions, and even movie roles, to get out of having to go back to the small town of Willow Creek. But now there's an event happening that she can't bring herself to miss - Her best friends wedding. So she's finally going back to face the remains of the life she had razed to the ground all those years ago, hoping that while she's there, all the bridges burnt remain that way. But alas, when the person on the other side of that bridge happens to be named Carter Dylan, and for reasons unknown to you, is trying to repair that bridge, you can't help but wonder whether you should've tried that appendicitis excuse one last time. Because a bridge leading to Carter Dylan, is too much for a heart to handle.

𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗱𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀 couldn't break off from her toxic relationship, she was too afraid to leave. But things started to change after she met a certain blonde singer, 𝗧𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗳𝘁. Cassidy felt like she was destined to be alone. Every time she found stability, it left. Was it punishment? It was like her fate was written down, a big bold unchangeable script she was doomed to follow. Like some sort of curse. Leaving her hollow and heartbroken. But at a time when it felt like the whole world was against her (technically it was) there was one person there to end that prophecy. Her prophecy. "It wasn't a mistake. When I kissed you, I meant to do it."
