"I thought yetis were... hogwash."

Happy-go-lucky Danian is surfing in Bali during term break when he finds himself smitten with Indira, a fervent climate activist. Eager to impress her and learn the true purpose of his life, he agrees to help find her Buddhist mentor Kenzo.

Together with cocky police recruit Tammy and tech-wit Naoto, they soon find themselves travelling through an ancient teleportation system and trekking the majestic Himalayas. In a vacated monastery, they bump into slow-texting, soul-hungry Morfitt and soon encounter more magical monsters lurking in the recesses of their reality.

As Danian traverses the eroding demarcation line between bleeding-edge science and ancient spiritual wisdom, he's forced to grow up to a life-altering challenge.

Then flash floods cast Jakarta into chaos, and millions disappear. Finally, it dawns on the four friends that Kenzo's disappearance is inextricably linked to the fate of humanity at large.

No one ever knows the whole story... Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever - or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. ----- The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series. New chapters will be posted on Fridays for as long as it takes to tell the whole story. For Wattpad only, chapters are split up by individual scenes-if you would prefer the whole chapters in single pieces, please visit my homepage or another site where I post this story, thanks! In 2043, the rainfall started...and it has not stopped. London lays on the brink of collapse as the Overcasts tighten their grip on the sinking city. After being left to fend for themselves, Finn, Mim, Jeero, and Lena are thrust onto an overcrowded Spillship. Here, they are confronted with the realities of their new drowning world, where thousands have turned to religious extremism. As their lives intertwine, the teens navigate love, friendship, and loyalty, forging fragile bonds and discovering what they are truly capable of. When whispers of a movement dedicated to stopping the rain echo through the ship, they embark on a daring quest for freedom. Under the constant watch of the electric eagles, they face treacherous waters and internal enemies, risking everything to join the resistance.
