Fate and time has a different plan. Martha is drawn into a battle between The 19 and The Wild Roses. Two different factions each wanting to use and twist Martha for their own ambitions. Will Martha be able to bloom and change the world for the better or will she crushed? ....This story is a work in progress, it has themes and ideas that may change over time as the story develops and as I learn what you like and dislike about the novel. That is it was secret until the government discovered the 7th city base. Now Lightning and the rebels must struggle to finalize preparations within the two month deadline. And as if additional stress was required, Lightning's dark secret is discovered in a hunt for the 13th mutant. Will they be ready to battle the tyrannic government?

Society has finally found a way to determine from birth which children will grow up to be depressed and possibly suicidal. They've deemed these children 'terminals', separating them from the 'pures'. This dystopian novel warns against the tragic stories that will come if we continue to dismiss the depressed as inhuman instead of working towards understanding and helping others that need it. No one is too far gone. Everyone can be happy when given the right chance. This story has no smut, but PS: the ending is worth it 😏

And it would help to keep everyone in line and stomp out any pesky notions before they manifested into something bigger, something dangerous. Shirley is known in the Facility as Ten, alongside six others, they have spent years enduring confinement and rigorous testing in order to secure a future as head of the Law. When a group calls themselves the codas breaks into the Facility and kidnaps Ten and the others, she's forced to re-examine her future plans. In the year 2050, post-apocalyptic world, a lone girl must choose between becoming the next-in-line to head a corrupt government or siding with those who wish to see the world a better place. Order and lies, or truth and freedom? Whatever she chooses, one thing is clear: both sides bleed. Shirley should decide if the future she'd been promised since childhood is worth the lies it's built upon. Will Shirley choose the future that's been decided for her, or will she make out one all her own, even if that path leads to her destruction?
