This is a project I made for school, our theme was 'History's Worst Criminals'. My team and I ended up choosing The Axeman of New Orleans, a killer whose presence was evident during 1918 and 1919.
The format of this project is quite mixed, as we've used both pictures/newspapers and text. We thought that newspapers and reports would bring this story to life and perhaps be an opportunity for the reader to feel a part of the investigation.
Please note that parts of the story have been changed for convenience and for the investigation's sake. I apologize if that causes you any displeasure. In addition, as I was not aware of how the measuring system in America works/worked, I have accidentally made all our characters extremely short. I apologize again.

While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street.
